Management Accountant

Michael Page Finance are excited to partner with a PE-backed professional services organisation in Leeds on their search for a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will provide full month-end support along with helping provide financial insight, reporting and strategic guidance. We're looking for candidates with strong commercial acumen, ideally with experience in a project or service-based environment.

Our client is a PE-backed professional service organisation based in Leeds Centre. The organisation is embarking on an exciting period of growth and development in terms of their client base and services they provide. The Management Accountant sits within an established finance team with a demonstrable history of development and progression with it's members.

Description

In this fast-paced and busy Management Accountant role, responsibilities will include;

• Managing the month-end process, preparing month-end journals and reports.
• Reviewing and reconcile general ledger accounts, particularly revenue and deferred income.
• Preparing VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
• Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with departmental leads.
• Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Conducting financial analysis to inform operations and strategic decision-making.

Profile

For this Management Accountant role, we're looking for:

• Recently qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or CIMA) with broad experience developed in management accounts.
• Experience within a regulated environment is preferred
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Xero or systems similar would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to business partner and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
