Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking to strengthen their Financial team with a new Assistant Management Accountant.

The position

The Assistant Management Accountant will support the wider finance function by delivering accurate and timely reporting to key customers and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who s already working in a finance role, confident in Excel, and either part qualified or studying towards their professional qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW).

It s a varied role offering great exposure to management accounts, business performance reporting and financial planning processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support customer reporting including monthly forecasts, KPI reporting and sales team reporting
• Assist with end-of-month processes, including journal preparation, performance analysis and variance investigation
• Contribute to the evolution of forecasting models and support annual planning and budgeting activities
• Help maintain and consolidate monthly forecasts and actual results
• Work closely with branch teams to review performance across the hire division
• Identify and challenge inefficiencies, supporting improvements to standards and processes
• Support ad hoc projects and other finance duties as required

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a finance role which involves month end & reporting
• Part-Qualified or Studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage your own time and workload, with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Confident communicator, with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn

Summary:

Position: Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Eastleigh (with hybrid working available)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: GBP34,000 - GBP38,000 + Company Bonus Scheme
