Job Title: Solar PV Installer & Maintenance Engineer Location: Field-Based – UK Wide (Ideally Midlands or Lincolnshire-based) Salary: £40,000 – £46,000 DOE + Van + 25 Days Holiday + Overtime + Tools Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent The role will involve the installation and maintenance of both rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems across a range of commercial and domestic sites. You’ll be involved from build through to commissioning, with the opportunity to support fault-finding and testing post-install. The Opportunity We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established M&E contractor specialising in renewable energy projects. With a growing pipeline of solar PV installations, they’re looking for a Solar PV Installer & Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Key Responsibilities Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems Fit mounting structures, panels, inverters, and perform electrical connections Carry out testing, commissioning, and maintenance Support with fault-finding and repairs on existing systems Maintain accurate reports and site documentation Follow health & safety procedures on all jobs Requirements Proven experience installing solar PV systems (rooftop and/or ground-mounted) NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation – essential 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – essential CSCS/ECS card preferred Full UK driving licence Comfortable with UK travel and occasional overnight stays Package Includes £40,000 – £46,000 salary (DOE) Company van + fuel card Tools, PPE, and uniform provided 25 days holiday + bank holidays Overtime opportunities Private Medical Ongoing training and career progression
