Our client is seeking an Internal Auditor to support the delivery of their internal audit programme, focusing on site operations and project governance. This is a great opportunity for someone with audit experience who enjoys being hands-on and proactive—spending time on live sites, engaging with operational teams, and helping embed a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver internal audits across a range of projects and business units, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements * Support the development and implementation of the annual internal audit plan * Conduct detailed site audits to evaluate risk management, control, and governance processes * Identify non-conformities, weaknesses, and areas for improvement across operational and compliance areas * Draft concise audit reports that clearly outline findings, root causes, and recommendations * Collaborate with departments and project teams to follow up on corrective actions and support implementation * Monitor compliance with ISO and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) * Support wider business initiatives around assurance, continuous improvement, and regulatory alignment * Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on audit findings and risk mitigation strategies Skills and Experience: * Qualified Lead Auditor (essential) * Experience conducting internal audits in a construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or FM setting * Strong knowledge of audit principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks * CQI Associate/Member/Chartered preferred * Comfortable auditing both office and site-based operations * Confident communicator who can influence and engage at all levels of the business * Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple audits and priorities independently What’s on Offer: * Salary up to £62,000 * Car or car allowance * Hybrid working structure * Company pension and private medical cover * Clear opportunities for growth and further professional development * A forward-thinking, collaborative internal audit team
