Spark a Passion for Chemistry in a Leading Enfield School for Boys An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry is required for a temporary full-time position at an Outstanding boys' school in Enfield, commencing as soon as possible. Responsibilities * You will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry, igniting curiosity about the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter. * The role involves expertly guiding students through key chemical concepts, conducting stimulating experiments, and developing their analytical skills. * You will cultivate a safe and stimulating laboratory environment where students feel empowered to explore chemical phenomena and develop their scientific inquiry skills. * You will assess and monitor student progress with care, providing constructive feedback that fosters their scientific development and builds their confidence in chemistry. Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background is essential. * Experience teaching engaging and effective Chemistry lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable. * A deep and current understanding of chemical principles, coupled with the ability to make the subject accessible and relevant for boys, is expected. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to manage practical experiments safely and effectively, are vital.
