We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and dedicated team at a specialist SEND school in the Hemel Hempstead area. This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and candidates must be available for an immediate start.
Applicants must have previous experience working with children in the UK, ideally within an educational setting. Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs-such as autism, speech and language difficulties, or complex learning needs-is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, and passionate about inclusive education.
The role begins with a two-week paid trial period , and is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, subject to successful completion of the trial.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support or assist small groups of pupils as a Teaching Assistant, helping to meet their individual learning needs.
Work closely with class teachers to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Support pupils both in the classroom and around the school in your role as a Teaching Assistant.
Contribute to the academic, social, and emotional development of SEND pupils.
Collaborate with fellow Teaching Assistants to ensure a consistent and high-quality support system for all students.
