Structural Engineer

Attention all Structural Engineers!

We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in a permanent position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days a week in our clients Birmingham office.

This is a great opportunity to work on a mixture of projects such as Defence, education and industrial.

- Competitive salary ranging from 50,000- 55,000 (depending on experience).

- Hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design safe, durable structures that meet regulations, using appropriate materials and CAD software for simulations.

-Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets structural standards.

-Prepare reports, drawings, and calculations related to loads, pressures, and stresses.

-Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals, and provide technical advice throughout the project.

-Handle planning applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.

What we are looking for:

-Bachelor's degree in civil or structural Engineering (Master's preferred).

-Must hold Security Clearance for working on defence projects.

-Strong communications skills for client facing environments.

-Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.

-Proven experience in structural design for defence, education and industrial projects.

-Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. MIDAS, SAP2000, STAAD, Robot, etc.).
