Salary: 26,000 - 28,000 basic + bonus (OTE circa 30,000+)

Alecto Recruitment is working with a well-established automotive business in Colchester to recruit an experienced and customer-focused Aftersales Advisor . This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable dealership or service centre offering long-term stability and genuine career progression.

The role is ideal for someone with a background in both service and parts , whether gained in a main dealership or a well-run independent garage . If you're confident handling customer service, workshop coordination, and parts operations, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the first point of contact for all aftersales enquiries, including service bookings and parts queries

• Managing workshop schedules and liaising with technicians to ensure efficient service delivery

• Advising customers on maintenance work, additional repairs, and service plans

• Ordering, receiving, and supplying parts in line with workshop and customer requirements

• Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process, managing expectations professionally

• Handling all service-related administration, including job cards, invoicing, and warranty claims

• Supporting departmental targets for customer satisfaction and efficiency

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a service advisor, parts advisor, or combined aftersales role within the motor trade

• Knowledge of dealer management systems and booking/parts platforms

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage busy workflows

• A full UK driving licence is preferred
