Site Manager – General Construction Oldham, Greater Manchester £45,000 - £55,000 + Company Benefits About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our growing team, overseeing construction projects across the Manchester area. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in general construction and a track record of delivering public building projects (such as schools, community centres, healthcare facilities) on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. * Monitor and control budgets, schedules, and resources. * Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety regulations and company policies. * Supervise and coordinate trades and labour on-site. * Conduct site inspections, progress reports, and risk assessments. * Lead and motivate the site team to meet performance and quality standards. Essential Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager in general construction and public sector projects. * SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card preferred), and First Aid certification. * Excellent knowledge of building methods, materials, and health & safety regulations. * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. * Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * Experience with frameworks or working on projects for local authorities. * NVQ Level 6 or higher in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
