As we expand, we’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Head of Legal to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead the legal function in a high-growth environment where your input will directly shape the company’s future. 🧭 The Role You’ll be the company’s first in-house legal hire, responsible for managing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across the business. From contracts and corporate governance to navigating regulatory frameworks, you’ll be a key advisor to the senior leadership team. 🔍 Key Responsibilities * Provide legal advice across all areas of the business, including commercial, corporate, employment, and regulatory matters. * Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements. * Oversee corporate governance, shareholder relations, and company secretarial matters. * Ensure ongoing compliance with energy regulations and relevant UK laws. * Support business development, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. * Engage and manage external legal counsel where required. * Build the internal legal infrastructure, policies, and processes from the ground up. 🧠 What We’re Looking For * Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 8+ years PQE. * Strong commercial and contract law experience, ideally gained in both private practice and in-house. * Previous exposure to the energy, infrastructure, technology, or regulated sectors is highly desirable. * Comfortable working in a start-up or scale-up environment—hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-focused. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 🌍 What We Offer * A competitive salary of up to £100,000 per annum. * Hybrid working from our London office. * The opportunity to build and lead the legal function at a growing, purpose-driven company. * A collaborative and ambitious team environment with real impact potential
