Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper

A well-known business based in the New Forest (SO42) is seeking an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their friendly finance team on a part-time, temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys variety in their work and is looking to develop a broader skillset in a unique setting.

What will the Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper role involve?

• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Carry out intercompany reconciliations and transactions
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and reports
• Assist with accruals and prepayments

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper vacancy:

• Previous experience supporting management accounts and financial reporting
• Willing to work across all areas of finance and contribute to a multiskilled team
• Intermediate Excel skills

Additional benefits and information for the role of Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper:

• 22.5 hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (9am 5pm)
• Parking on site
• Potential to work from home up to 2 days per week following training
