Hours: 37.5 hours per week 2 week on rota system, flexibility required. Overtime available.

Salary: 29,039 per annum

Duties including, but not limited to:

  • Maintain high standards of quality across all dessert offerings
  • Support the preparation, coordination, and presentation of all pastries and desserts
  • Assist with daily production to meet operational needs
  • Contribute to the creation of seasonal menu items
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, allergen, and health regulations
  • Collaborate on the development of pastry dishes for conference and event menus
  • Keep the pastry kitchen clean, organised, and within budgeted stock levels
  • Wear a clean, laundered uniform daily in accordance with hygiene standards

The person:

  • City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 1 and 2 equivalent or relevant baking / pastry qualification
  • 2-3 years experience within a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety
  • Full knowledge of allergen legislation & customer dietary requirement
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Flexible approach
  • Strong communicator with good team working skills
