Role Purpose:
We are recruiting for a Curriculum & Quality Improvement Lead and this role focuses on driving up quality and ensuring compliance within justice-focused education and training. You ll work across prison, probation, and other justice settings to support the delivery of effective, engaging, and compliant programmes.
You will lead on quality improvement activity, support audit and compliance processes, and take ownership of training delivery and resource development. The focus here is on quality over curriculum, though you will contribute to the design and adaptation of session materials.
You ll also be responsible for delivering training to justice delivery staff, leading on onboarding, refresher training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties:
Support all quality assurance activities across multiple justice contracts
Lead on training design and delivery, including onboarding and refresher sessions
Carry out compliance and quality audits, providing feedback and supporting action planning
Review and improve learning materials for use in prison and probation settings
Work closely with operational teams to improve evidence recording, paperwork and delivery standards
Contribute to internal and external audit preparation, action plans and follow-up
Deliver constructive feedback, observations and coaching to frontline delivery staff
Drive continuous improvement by sharing best practice and supporting staff development
Required Skills:
Experience delivering or managing learning in a justice setting (e.g. prison, probation, community rehabilitation)
Strong background in quality assurance, compliance, and auditing processes
Confident designing and delivering training to varied audiences
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple locations
Skilled communicator with the ability to coach and influence at all levels
Good working knowledge of using IT to manage compliance and quality processes
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a justice setting is essential
Experience of quality improvement activity, including audits and observations
Confident using systems and tracking paperwork for compliance purposes
Willingness to travel across the region as required
