A NHS in the West Midlands is looking for some additional capacity in their Finance team to ensure that the Trust and its subsidiary companies comply with all statutory and mandatory external financial reporting requirements. Main responsibilities: Preparation of the subsidiary companies’ monthly management accounts, annual accounts (including the statutory accounts to Companies House) and the quarterly HMRC commercial VAT returns. Support to the Financial Controller to prepare the monthly and annual financial information that forms part of the combined Trust reporting process. Support the delivery of Financial Services delivered to another organisation under a finance Service level agreement, including relevant working papers and audit evidence. Maintain the overall integrity, including the completeness and accuracy of the subsidiaries’ chart of accounts. Ensure, in conjunction with the CFA, that the Group complies with all relevant VAT (tax) law and regulations. Provide advice on VAT issues to subsidiary managers. Liaise with the internal / external auditors for financial reporting and external taxation advisors / HMRC for VAT.
