We're partnering with a dynamic and expanding company in Stevenage that's on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and is eager to grow their skills across Accounts Payable, Credit Control, and Management Accounts. 🔍 What You'll Be Doing: Accounts Payable Process supplier invoices and employee expenses Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Manage payment runs and handle supplier queriesCredit Control Support Send supplier statements and chase outstanding debts (minor part of the role) Accurately allocate incoming customer paymentsManagement Accounts Support (1-2 days/month) Assist with accruals and prepayments Post journals and perform balance sheet reconciliations Conduct bank reconciliations ✅ What We're Looking For: At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with strong Accounts Payable knowledge Exposure to Management Accounts (accruals, prepayments) is a plus Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across teams and with external contacts Organised, proactive, and able to work independently Strong Excel skills; Sage50 experience is advantageous 🎁 What's In It for You? 💷 Competitive salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) 🎄 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + extra time off at Christmas 💰 Performance-based bonus plan 🏥 Private healthcare cover 🏦 Pension contributions 🚀 A chance to grow with a supportive and ambitious team If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, develop your skills, and be part of a collaborative and growing business-we'd love to hear from you!
