Accounts Assistant Location: Lancaster Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary:£28-30k Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a desire to grow your career in finance? My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team at a well-established company based in the heart of Lancaster. Your Role As the new Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of the day-to-day financial operations. You'll be working closely with a well established Finance Manager and wider team, supporting both routine and ad hoc tasks. Your responsibilities will include: Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements Managing sales invoicing and credit control Assisting with bank reconciliations and petty cash management Supporting month-end procedures Maintaining accurate financial records Liaising with internal departments and external suppliersWhat We're Looking For We're after someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to develop their career in finance. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role A good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and time management skills A positive attitude and a team-oriented approachAAT qualifications or working towards them would be an advantage but are not essential.
