We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to join our specialist school, providing vital support to students with a range of additional needs.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children's lives.
Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs
Support pupils with a range of complex learning, emotional, or physical needs
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Support with personal care, mobility, and communication needs where required
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress
A valid Child & Adult Workforce Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to the rural location of the school)
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, patient, and adaptable attitude
