Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is recruiting a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a specialist school in Telford . Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher and wider team in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Encourage independence, communication, and confidence in pupils
  • Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials
  • Monitor and record pupil progress to support ongoing assessment


What We're Looking For:

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience supporting children or adults with additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable
  • Knowledge of Makaton, sign language, or alternative communication methods is a plus, but not essential
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
