Our client based in Calne is seeking an experienced Machine Setter Operator to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a focus on precision engineering and continuous improvement.

Machine Setter Operator Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery, including milling machines and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance and product quality
• Assemble components accurately to specifications, using SolidWorks and CAD software for precise measurement and alignment
• Perform regular machine inspections and carry out routine maintenance to keep equipment in top condition
• Safely handle materials and follow all health and safety procedures during the production process
• Identify and resolve operational issues using logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
• Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and management to enhance efficiency and maintain high standards of production

Machine Setter Operator Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Setter, or similar role within a manufacturing or workshop environment
• Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and understand control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, and Hurco
• Proficient in reading CAD drawings and measurements; experience with OneCNC offline programming is a plus
• Skilled in both milling and turning operations
• Familiar with tooling processes and safe materials handling practices
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving

Machine Setter Operator Working Hours:

• Monday Thursday, 08 30
• Friday, 08 00
