Transport Manager Multi-Site Navenby & Ashbourne

Salary: 46,000 + Travel Expenses

Hours: Mon-Fri standard hours (the working week will be split evenly between the 2 sites)

We're working with one of the UK's largest and most respected names in food production, a leading player in the agricultural supply chain, known for quality, scale, and high standards.

They're now on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee logistics across multiple sites in the UK.

If you're a CPC-qualified transport professional with experience in multi-site logistics, people management, and fleet performance, this could be the next step for you.

The Role

Lead day-to-day operations of the feed transport function across internal mill sites
Ensure legal and safety compliance across own and third-party fleet operations
Manage a team of planners, drivers, and administrative staff
Support site managers in achieving transport budgets and performance KPIs
Optimise asset utilisation, route planning, and cost-effectiveness
Build and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cost, sustainability, and service levels
Deliver administrative and KPI reporting duties linked to transport performance
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of the logistics team

What You'll Need

CPC qualification in UK Road Transport (essential)
Experience managing transport across multi-site manufacturing or logistics businesses
Solid understanding of fleet H&S, DVSA regulations, and environmental standards
Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive cost-efficiency
Familiarity with 3PL contracts, performance metrics, and logistics risk management
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop and motivate teams
Excellent communication, planning, and IT skills (Microsoft Office, Telematics, KPI dashboards)
A change mindset, someone who thrives in continuous improvement environments
