Field Calibration Engineer


Company Information Our client is a specialist provider of calibration and repair services for audiometric, acoustic, and vibration instruments offering on-site calibration services throughout the UK and Ireland. They are now looking to expand the team for looking for engineers based anywhere in the UK with a strong electronic/ electrical background to join as Field Calibration Engineers. Role Overview This role involves traveling to various sites (around your territory- not a UK wide role), including hospitals, clinics, and health centres, to calibrate and perform basic maintenance and occasional repairs on audiometric equipment. You will use our bespoke calibration system, ADACS, which guides the calibration process and generates necessary certificates and reports. Following an initial training period, you will work independently but will have full technical and administrative support from our their engineers. A company car will be provided. Key Duties * Perform on-site calibration of audiometric equipment according to schedules provided by the sales and administration teams. * Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of audiometric devices as required at customer locations. * Adhere to company ISO 9001 quality management procedures and maintain compliance with UKAS accreditation standards. * Ensure all equipment under your care remains in excellent working order; maintain and service company vehicles following manufacturer guidelines. * Provide customer feedback regarding future service needs and actively promote the company products and services. Person Specification * Ideally hold an HNC/HND in electronics, science, or engineering (not essential). * Strong background in electronics/electrical systems with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. * Some prior experience with calibration is beneficial but not required as full training will be given. * Competent in basic electronic debugging and familiar with debug tools.
