CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Turner Salary: £25-35 per hour Location: Reading Contract: 4-6 Months Role Overview – CNC Turner Join our clients machine shop as a CNC Turner, working under the Machine Shop Supervisor to operate CNC lathes and produce precise components to meet quality and deadline targets. Key Responsibilities – CNC Turner Set up and operate CNC lathes Perform turning for angles, radii, tapers, and bores Use manual lathes occasionally Inspect work with precision tools Check incoming materials and final parts Replace/sharpen tools Maintain records and a clean, safe workspace Report issues to supervisor Follow company rules and quality standards Assist with other factory tasks as needed Key Experience & Qualifications – CNC Turner Technical qualification or 5+ years in a machine shop Skilled in machine tool setup and operation Proficient with precision measuring tools Omega Resource Group is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Construction and Manufacturing sectors.
