Production Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Production Manager will enjoy a varied role providing leadership over two sites where you will drive productivity improvement utilising Lean and continuous improvement principles whilst also ensuring health & safety for production.

The Production Manager will be required to:

• Provide leadership to a team of supervisors/team leaders
• Mentor supervisors & team leaders to ensure effective team leadership
• Nurture a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Coordinate, motivate, manage direct reports and shop floor employees
• Plan labour and resources to achieve scheduled production
• Managing budgets for materials, labour and repairs
• Responsible for maintenance of buildings, plants and services
• Oversee onboarding processes
• Organisation and allocation of work in operations
• Implement strategies to optimise cost management and resource allocation

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory and manufacturing experience
• Experience of utilising Lean and Continuous improvement principles
• Analytical with problem solving skills
• A good understanding of ERP/MRP systems to ensure Bills of Materials are accurate
• Management of department budgets for materials, labour, repairs and maintenance
• A good understanding of Quality management within ISO9001 QMS
• Experienced with Health & Safety work requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Multi-site Management
• Working to ISO9001 and ISO14001
• Experience working within batch and cellular manufacturing environments
