Commercial Gas Engineer

Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Edinburgh and Surrounding Areas Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 (dependent on experience) + van + benefits Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime and call-out available) Contract Type: Permanent Job Summary: We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Clients Edinburgh-based mobile engineering team. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair on a wide range of commercial heating and gas systems across multiple client sites. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial gas boilers and heating systems * Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs * Perform diagnostics and fault finding to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently * Ensure all gas systems comply with current legislation and safety standards * Complete all required documentation and update job records via PDA or logbooks * Liaise with clients and site staff to ensure minimal disruption to services * Participate in a call-out rota and occasional overtime * Assist with general mechanical maintenance tasks where required Essential Requirements: * Current and valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent) * Experience working in a mobile engineering role within commercial buildings * Full UK driving licence * Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance standards * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: * Additional HVAC or plumbing qualifications * Experience with BMS systems and plant room controls * Domestic gas qualifications (advantageous) What We Offer: * Competitive salary with regular reviews * Fully equipped company van and fuel card * Mobile phone, uniform, PPE, and tools provided * Company pension scheme * Training and career development opportunities If you would like to hear more about this position please submit your CV and we will be in touch
