General Repair/Engineer

Job Summary
My Dudley Food production based client is seeking a skilled and motivated General Repair Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining bespoke machinery on multiple lines, including ancillary machines.

Duties

• General repairs on maintenance of bespoke machinery.
• General repairs and adaptations if needed within the factory.
• Control the day to day running of the engineering unit.
• Oversee and manage established systems with regard to check sheets and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee integrity of lines and other food equipment.
• Ensure the safety and legality of products is noy jeopardised during engineering.
• Follow all hygrine practices and work in a safe and legal manner.
• Understanding of work instruction WE01.
• Attend Food safety review meetings.

Skills

• Understanding of engineering in a food processing environment.
• Basic engineering qualifications is essential.
• Basic Welding qualifications required.
• Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering principles and practices.

Hours

• Monday - Thursday 8:30am-5pm
• Friday 8am-1pm.
• hours may be flexible for the right candidate.
• Temp to perm following a successful trial period.
• 16ph whilst training.
