My client a fast-growing specialist in building compliance and safety is looking for a Design Engineer to join their close-knit team based in Cheshire . With a reputation for no-nonsense expertise and top-tier results, they provide compliant safety solutions to some of the UK s most complex buildings.

This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of the full design process from interpreting site surveys to producing structural calculations and technical CAD drawings. You ll be working across multiple disciplines, liaising with architects, project managers, and installation teams to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

The Role

• Design bespoke safety systems
• Review site layouts, carry out technical assessments, and identify potential risks.
• Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings and documentation for internal and external use.
• Ensure designs meet all relevant EN and fall protection standards.
• Support project delivery through close collaboration with internal teams and external contractors.

What You ll Bring

• Proven experience in a technical design role (e.g. fall protection, structural steel, lifting equipment, fa??ade access).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks, Revit, or similar tools a bonus.
• Strong understanding of structural calculations and engineering principles.
• Comfortable working on-site when needed (UK driving licence required).
• A practical, detail-focused mindset with the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Salary: GBP35,000 GBP45,000 (depending on experience)
