I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturing business, for an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality systems within their factory operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you will play a key role in shaping site standards, promoting a safety-first culture, and embedding continuous improvement across all functions. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety * Develop and enforce H&S policies and procedures. * Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations. * Promote a proactive safety culture through training and staff engagement. * Ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations and maintain relevant certifications. Quality Assurance * Manage and maintain ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards. * Support production teams to ensure product quality meets all specifications. * Lead internal quality audits and implement corrective/preventive actions. * Conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances and drive improvements. Environmental Management * Maintain ISO 14001 or equivalent environmental management systems. * Drive environmental sustainability, focusing on waste reduction and compliance. * Manage reporting of emissions, waste disposal, and regulatory audits. Continuous Improvement & Leadership * Work with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities. * Introduce and embed Lean principles or other CI frameworks. * Monitor SHEQ KPIs and provide regular reports to senior leadership. * Act as lead contact for auditors, HSE officials, and suppliers. Candidate Requirements: * NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential. * Proven experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. * Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. * Confident communicator with excellent organisational and leadership skills. * Experience leading audits, managing compliance, and delivering training. * A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and risk management
