Dump Truck

Are you an experienced and certified dump truck driver looking for a stable, ongoing contract in Edinburgh? We're seeking a dedicated operative to join our team on a significant large commercial project in the area. If you're skilled in efficient muck shifting and committed to site safety, we want to hear from you!

As our dump truck driver, you'll be a vital part of our groundworks and bulk excavation team on a major commercial development. Your primary responsibility will be efficient muck shifting, ensuring the safe and timely movement of excavated materials around the site. Key duties will include:

• Operating large HGV dump trucks safely and efficiently across a busy construction site.
• Transporting excavated earth, spoil, and other materials from dig areas to designated tipping zones.
• Working closely with excavator operators and ground teams to ensure smooth loading and offloading processes.
• Performing daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults immediately.
• Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations, traffic management plans, and company policies.
• Maintaining clear communication with site management and other plant operators.

• Proven experience as a dump truck driver on large-scale civil engineering or commercial construction projects, with a strong background in muck shifting.
• Relevant ticket / HGV licence.
• Excellent machine operating skills with a keen awareness of site hazards, gradients, and a strong focus on safety.
• Ability to work efficiently and reliably in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to site productivity and problem-solving.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are paramount.
• Full clean driving licence.
