Role: ADHD Specialst Teaching Assistant

Start: September 2025

Location: RM7, East London

Contract: Full time (Monday - Friday)

Rate: 100- 108 per day

School Type: Secondary SEN

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Specialst Teaching Assistant who is willing to support key stage 3 pupils with Autism and ADHD with within a SEN Secondary School. This highly rewarding ADHD Specialst Teaching Assistant role would require you will be dealing with challenging behaviour and using various reinforcement strategies to provide support for these two boys. Your delegated pupil is on a EHCP and you will be following important guidelines and regulation procedures to best aid this child.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

• Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
• Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
• Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
