Join Our Skilled Highways Team in Durham

We're currently looking for an experienced Highways Operative to join a busy carriageway patching gang in the DH7 area of Durham. If you've got experience working with tarmac and are looking for steady, hands-on work - we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working as part of a small team laying 10-20 tonnes of tarmac per day
• Operating from a mobile hotbox for carriageway patching
• Supporting all aspects of highway maintenance and resurfacing
• Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently on public roads
• Complying with health & safety regulations at all times

What You'll Need

• Experience laying tarmac
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Class 2 HGV Licence with CPC (advantageous)
• A good work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay & Benefits

• 15.00 per hour (paid weekly)
• Monday to Friday, full-time hours
• Ongoing work with potential for long-term placement
• Supportive, safety-conscious team environment

Location

• Based in DH7 - Durham area
• Must be able to travel to site or depot for start times
