SCHOOL BURSAR

The Cathedral School, Cardiff’s leading independent school for girls and boys, is seeking to appoint a forward-thinking and enthusiastic financial leader to shape and enable the strategic development of the school, from October 2025.
The Bursar provides strategic and operational leadership across the school in all financial, operational, sustainability and environmental, compliance and administrative matters. They work closely alongside the Head and the Senior Leadership Team, as well as key stakeholders such as Llandaff Cathedral, the Woodard Corporation and the Governing Council. The successful candidate will be a clear strategic thinker with an approachable and collaborative style, bringing strong financial and management expertise. They will be able to balance long-term planning with day-to-day operations and work with the school community to guide the next exciting stage of our development.
