Salary: GBP44,(Apply online only)-GBP50,(Apply online only) per annum
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Hours: Double Days, Monday - Friday 06.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00 Weekly Rotations
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
- To be on call 1 week in 4 (Paid GBP250 extra per week / GBP3250 per year & Any callout is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.

The Requirements

In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous
Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years - Essential
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer or electrical engineer
