The Role As Business Development Manager, you’ll be on the front lines of our expansion. Your role will be to drive new business opportunities, win contracts, and grow long-term relationships with commercial and industrial clients. You’ll have the freedom to shape your strategy, backed by a supportive team and a company that invests in its people. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in key sectors such as construction, manufacturing, property management, and hospitality Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads through networking, referrals, site visits, and outbound outreach Deliver tailored waste management solutions that align with client needs and sustainability goals Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with a focus on long-term value Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and seeking opportunities for upselling or referrals Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery Stay up to date on local market trends, competitor activity, and industry regulations Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a business development or field sales role (experience in waste, environmental services, or logistics is a bonus) Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and a solution-focused mindset Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively Local market knowledge and existing industry contacts are highly desirable A full UK driving licence is essential
