Mechanical Contracts Manager


As a result of a number of recent contract awards, James Lewis are currently assisting a medium sized M&E contractor in their search for a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team in Croydon. Key Mechanical Contracts Manager responsibilities: * Manage contract documents, specifications and drawings * Management of Health and Safety documentation * Responsible for Contract Technical submissions and schedules * Preparation of Contract Works programmes * Attendance at Client/Professional Team meetings, pre and post Contract Award * Sub-Contract negotiation and appointment * Liaison with in-house Design Departments * Liaison with Client/Contractor Site Management teams * Overseeing CDP requirements and Specialists * Monthly contract reports, contract applications and account reports * Preparation of variations and commercial submissions * Management of appointed Project and Site Managers * Preparation and management of commissioning programmes The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record delivering Mechanical projects from £1m - £5m and the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience and trade qualifications to a minimum of HNC / HND level in Building Services Engineering. In addition, you will require a general knowledge of contract law, administration, account development and submission. Lastly, a UK driving license and up to date CSCS card are essential. Remuneration includes base salary up to £80k, discretionary bonus, EOT shares, company car/allowance, life insurance and private healthcare
