Building Control Plan Checker (Contract) Location: Remote Rate: Circa £50 per hour Contract Length: 6 months min IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Start Date: Immediate Confido Consult is proud to be partnering with one of our most highly regarded clients in support of a new contract need. Due to increased project demand, they are now seeking an experienced Building Control Plan Checker (L2B+ RBI, Registered Building Inspector) to support their team on a fully remote basis. Key Responsibilities: * Technical checking of plans for a range of domestic developments, including extensions, loft conversions and small residential schemes. * Ensuring all plans reviewed are compliant with relevant Building Regulations and associated guidance. * Communicating effectively with applicants and design teams where clarification or revisions are required. * Supporting the wider technical team as needed, with flexibility depending on project demands. Candidate Requirements: * Current or recently held registration at L2B RBI (Registered Building Inspector) or above. * Proven experience in a plan checking (plan checker) role, with a strong understanding of domestic residential projects. * Able to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
