Late Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Late Shift Warehouse Supervisor for a well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in The Heathrow area.

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the efficient and secure screening of freight and the accurate building of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) in line with industry standards and company procedures. This role ensures all freight is prepared and processed safely, securely, and compliantly for onward transit.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations within the build area, ensuring freight is screened, handled, and built into ULDs to regulatory and airline standards.
• Oversee the physical build-up of ULDs, ensuring correct weight distribution, labelling, and documentation.
• Conduct or supervise screening of freight using approved methods (e.g., X-ray, ETD), ensuring compliance with aviation security protocols.
• Monitor and guide warehouse operatives to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Utilise the in-house system for basic data entry, freight status updates, and job tracking.
• Liaise with the warehouse management team to report any discrepancies or issues in real-time.
• Ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including health and safety regulations.
• Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to team members as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.

Requirements

• Must be fully trained and experienced in freight screening processes and ULD build-up procedures
• Sound understanding of aviation security requirements and air cargo handling.
• Good working knowledge of warehouse operations
• Basic IT skills and experience using internal warehouse or freight systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead a small team.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-changing priorities.
• Flexibility with working hours
• Security background check clearance

Working hours are:-

Sunday - Thursday 3.30pm - Midnight - Sunday 2.30pm - Finish normally around 9pm)
