Health and Safety Manager

Trainee Health & Safety Advisor Location: Cambridge-based with travel to construction sites Salary: Competitive Fairmead is recruiting a Trainee Health & Safety Advisor to support a well-established main contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK. Their hands-on approach and continued growth make them a solid environment for development and learning Key Responsibilities: * Assist Site and Health & Safety Managers with health and safety compliance across construction sites * Contribute to the preparation and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) * Support the coordination and tracking of RFIs (Requests for Information) related to health and safety * Assist with the collation of information for Health & Safety Files and project documentation * Help identify and assess on-site risks, contributing to proactive safety planning * Maintain accurate health and safety records in line with regulatory and internal requirements * Liaise with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure best practice is followed * Support the management of third-party safety consultants and service providers * Promote a positive safety culture across all sites What we’re looking for: * Strong communication skills with a proactive, collaborative approach * Comfortable using digital systems and software for data entry, reporting, and document management * Either working towards or already holding a Health & Safety or Construction Safety qualification (must be included in your application)
