STORES AND PURCHASING OFFICER
£UP TO £38,000 + BONUS + EXCELLENT BENEFITS + POSSIBLE RELOCATION

The Stores and Purchasing Officer role comes with a starting salary from £35,000 rising up to £38,000 following a successful probationary period. Additional overtime (x1.5) available as required and during outage periods. The current benefits package includes but is not limited to, private medical, annual bonus, salary sacrifice pension, flexible working, social events, and a number of salary sacrifice schemes.


THE ROLE
The post holder will perform wide ranging daily stores tasks including:
• Goods issues and receipts.
• Maintenance of stores layout, range and quantity of parts.
• Procurement of goods negotiating to best value.
• Maintaining good supplier relationships.
• Contract administration.
• Regular Stock Checking, and at times, with company’s auditors
• Maintenance of Stores function within the company’s works management system (Maximo)
• Work closely with all SPL departments

THE PERSON
The ideal candidates will have:
• Experience of working in stores and procurement in an industrial environment.
• Exposure to handling hazardous materials and health, safety & environmental procedures.
• Used works management system Maximo or a similar package
• Operated overhead cranes and have a forklift trucks license.
• Enthusiasm and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team are required.
• Can do positive attitude.
