Logistics Operative

Frontline Recruitment Weymouth are seeking a Logistic Operative to join our client in Weymouth.

As a Logistics Operative you will work as part of the logistics team and be responsible for the processing of material receipts, stock handling, kitting to production and shipments to customers or our other global warehouses.

Key Tasks:

Accept, check and book in received shipments.

Unloading/loading of bulky/palletised deliveries

Locate and control stock in our MRP system.

Kit and issue stock to meet production demand.

Conduct regular cycle counts and support investigation of any major variances.

Control packing materials and accessories for printers and finished goods

Prepare printer packing materials and accessories for production.

Pack printers in-line with packing specifications

Prepare shipments for despatch (picking, packing and labelling of finish goods)

Process despatch documents to support shipments.

Book and arrange freight collections.

Act as a banks-person to control safe loading/unloading of vehicles.

Follow company procedures and adhere to safe working practices.

Keep work areas clean, tidy and hazard free.

Any other related tasks as required.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Ability to obtain and maintain forklift/counterbalance licence.

Experience working in a similar inventory or stock control role.

Good attention to detail.

Able to work as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Forklift truck experience

Computer literate with Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Experience of stock control systems (MRP/ERP, VMI, Kanban)

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 12.02 per hour
