CNC Miller Required


My client is a leading specialist in designing and manufacturing pneumatic products. Over the years my client has developed specific technical ways to meet the demands of clients within sectors they work in, ensuring that they stay at the top of their industry. Having in house design engineers enables them to manufacture bespoke products whilst working closely with customer to provide a first-class service. Due to workload and growth, they are now looking for CNC Setters (Millers) to join their team.

GBP15.61 Per Hour plus 25% Shift allowance (GBP19.51)

6/3 and 3/12 rotating shifts resulting in a 4 day week and 3 day weekend.

Free onsite parking, sick pay scheme, wellbeing scheme and pension.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Setting of CNC departments CNC machines.
  • Ensure all current machine set up sheets are complete.
  • Manage CNC programs through a structured process.
  • Create new set up sheets to support new / improved setting plans.
  • Obtain 1st off inspection.
  • Provide support to the setting team when required.
  • Liaise with the engineering department regarding drawing issues and changes.
  • Ensure all cutting tools and inspection gauges are managed correctly.
  • Report issues immediately to the relevant manager.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

  • Experience working with CNC machines, such as Fanuc.
  • Comfortable with 3 and 4 axis machines.
  • Must have the ability to set machines on NPD parts.
  • Be able to carry out first article inspections on NPD parts.
  • Good understanding of tolerances.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of materials including Aluminium, Stainless steels, and castings.
  • Experience using CAM systems is advantageous.
  • Be able to pre-set cutting tools.
  • An understanding of Lean Techniques is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A drive to develop and improve professionally.
  • Be a team player and able to work calmly under pressure.
