The Role:

We are thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Head Miller at the Wellingborough Mill, which serves as the core of their operations. This essential role is centred around improving the efficiency and quality of their milling and Flour Heat Treatment (FHT) processes to ensure optimal operation and exceptional product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and improve operations in Milling and FHT, focusing on efficiency and process effectiveness.
• Standardise operations across production teams, ensuring high standards in food safety and general health and safety.
• Develop and implement training programs to elevate team capabilities and performance.
• Actively participate in audit preparations and manage customer visits and mill tours.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• NABIM Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in operational flour milling and flour heat treatment processes.
• Proven leadership experience in an operations environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Flexible with working hours and available for contact outside regular office hours.

Desirable Qualifications:

• NABIM Milling Diploma or currently pursuing.
• Certifications in Food Hygiene, HACCP, and People Management.
• NEBOSH / IOSH / Safety Leadership Training.
