Control Room Technician


Astute's Renewables team is retained by a market leading O&M provider and project developer within the solar sector to recruit a Control Room Technician for its Bristol site. The Control Room Technician role comes with a package up to £34,000, company pension, life assurance and a healthcare scheme. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Control Room Manager, you will: Monitor solar sites through SCADA systems (upto 70MW capacity) and coordinate operations and maintenance teams for routine and reactive maintenance activities. Act in a first line point of call for troubleshooting/diagnostics and analysis of faults/alarms. Remote troubleshooting of inverters and utilisation of relevant softwares. Weekly reporting of asset performability. Operate and maintain CMMS systems and tracking equipment. Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager, Partner, or Director of the business. Interact with Operations and Maintenance teams and Portfolio Managers. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Experience in either the solar sector or as a Control Room Operator/Technician in the power industry (power stations, solar, wind, oil & gas etc). Personal skills The Control Room Technician role would suit someone who is: Organised and strong attention to detail Computer literate Experience working with SCADA/CMMS systems. Salary and benefits of the Control Room Technician role: A salary upto £34,000 Annual bonus Weekend and holliday allowances A shift rotation including earlies, standard working hours, and late shifts.
