Job Title: Assistant Buyer Location: Redditch, United Kingdom Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience Are you an enthusiastic and organised individual with a passion for coordination and procurement? As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated Assistant Buyer to join our team and contribute to our success. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate the procurement of materials for groundworks and civil engineering sites, including concrete, aggregates, pipes, drainage, and all other materials required on-site. * Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines. * Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure materials are ordered accurately. * Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels to ensure efficient supply chain management. * Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Requirements: * Previous experience in an administrative, assistant, or coordinator role, ideally within the construction industry or with exposure to construction materials. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. * Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
