TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Leeds, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA that has a  desire to make the children progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills. The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school. The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
