Vineyard Assistants


Vineyard Assistants required to work in a stunning rural vineyard located on the outskirts of Maidstone Kent.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Start Date Approx. 13th May 2024 £11.44 per hour + Holiday Pay   We are looking for 20 reliable, hardworking and punctual individuals to join the vineyards existing team to help with their bud rubbing/crown thinning and wire lifting work. Bud Rubbing/Crown Thinning The bud rubbing/crown thinning role is to remove unwanted shoots that grow lower down on the vines, these shoots must be removed to promote upward growth within the mid sections of the vines. This is a straight forward role that would suit someone who loves working outside in the beautiful countryside whilst being surrounded by the most stunning surroundings. This role will involve bending down and lots of walking, therefore would suit someone who is physically fit and able.  Wire Lifting Another role that will be required is wire lifting, as the grape vines are climbing plants they are attached to moveable wires which assist them with all stages of their growth. The wires are moved up or down depending on the vine growth stages, these wires will need to be lifted up in line with the vines growth.    This role will involve working at a local vineyard with a lovely small team of workers, they work in most weather conditions so you must be prepared to work come rain or shine, and have the appropriate clothing and footwear. The vineyard is located on the outskirts of Sandling/Boarley, Kent, therefore unless you live in either village, you will require your own transport to reach the vineyard sites.    Hours: 8.00am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday for up to 3-4 weeks  Start Date is to be confirmed, but we are looking at around 13th May 2024, but some flexibility may be required.    If you love the outdoors, then this could be the role for you
