Hawkes Resourcing Group are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Project Surveyor Location: Essex (Ongar) and Kent (Orpington) and London (Woolwich) Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 About Us: We are a successful contractor specializing in fire protection for social housing and healthcare projects. Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The role will be predominantly site-based, working with our client across multiple locations, including Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington), Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Woolwich), and our head office in Ongar. The candidate will serve as the commercial first point of contact for all main contractors' projects, issuing quotations for various FRA works and managing the process from quotation to invoicing. Additionally, they will liaise with direct labor operatives and subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution. Responsibilities: * Issuing quotations for FRA works (FD30, FD60, fire stopping, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, scaffold, external works) * Tracking quotations until Pos are issued, WIP, completion, AFP, AFP meeting * Managing payment certificate generation for invoicing * Dealing with direct labor operatives and subcontractors * Issuing subcontractor purchase orders and checking subcontractor AFPs Requirements: * Over 2/3 years of experience in fire protection * Strong background in managing projects within social housing and healthcare sectors * Basic pre and post-cost management knowledge * Working towards chartership * Hardworking, motivated, and professional demeanor Benefits: * 24 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company car * Pension plan * Healthcare coverage * Fuel card * Uniform and laptop provided * Perks and rewards program If you have the required experience and are looking for an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company, apply now
