Senior Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK’s leading Main Contractors based at their Regional offices in Leeds. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the commercial team working on projects that can range in value from £10M - £80M across various sectors. Responsibilities: * Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages * Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement. * Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages. * Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value. * Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports) Requirements: * Experience working on large 2 stage bids * Excellent knowledge of NEC and JCT conditions * Prior experience in acting as commercial lead on high value construction projects * Knowledge of procurement and sub contractor management * Ability to create in depth commercial reports Benefits: * Interesting and varied workload across public and private sector clients * A robust and busy business offering ample opportunity for personal and professional development * Friendly, professional and attractive working environment Our client is very proud to be a business that really looks after its people and offers a wide variety of benefits and rewards
