Cost Manager / QS - Client side London office with hybrid working £40,000 to £60,000 healthcare, pension and bonus to 30% Berkshire Talent Partnership are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s fastest growing Renewable power producers and developer. The business builds, owns, and operates flexible energy infrastructure to help balance the grid, supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future. The business is seeking a Cost Manager to join their team. This role would be ideal for a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with 2-5 years experience within civil engineering, construction, power or infrastructure. Working within the commercial team and reporting to the commercial manager you will deliver both pre and post contract surveying duties on a range of renewable projects with values from £50m to £1billion. Key responsibilities below. * Preperation of cost feasibilities, approximate estimates, cost planning, bills of quantities, specifications and schedule of rates all in accordance with relevant standards. * Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice. * Preparation and administration of various contract forms to both consultant and contractors. * Preparation and administration of interim valuations, contractors’ claims and settlement of final accounts. * Preparation and updating of standard cost databases and profiles. * Providing effective change control during the pre-contract stages and post-contract stages. * Assisting in the preparation of contract variations to review with senior staff. * Assisting in the preparation of financial reviews as directed. * Preparation of interim valuations throughout the life of a project. * Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts. * Preparation of contract and dispute advice. * Assisting senior members of staff in their role as Employer’s Representative and/or Contract Administrator. * Reviewing the cost information prepared by senior staff and identifying any errors for correction. * Support the creation, update, forecast and coordinating project costs and resource usage models and predictions. * Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. * Work closely with the project manager, commercial manager and project QS to maximise the potential of the project. * Documenting and maintaining records.
