CNC Setter Operator

We’re hiring for a CNC Setter Operator to join an award-winning family run engineering business based in Glossop. In this role the successful caniddate will be responsible for operating and setting up turning machines to manufacture precision components from a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and copper. What’s on offer? * £13.00 - £16.00 per hour * Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm / Friday 12:00pm finish * Good career progression opportunities * Overtime opportunities * Employee mentoring programme * Referral programme What will you be doing as a CNC Turner? * Overseeing machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load to produce precision components * Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary adjustments to the machines * Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operations and the team's overall performance * Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues What do you need? * Proven experience as a Turner Setter/Operator with experience in CNC machining * Experience using Fanuc control systems * Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment * Strong attention to detail and quality control skills * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues If you’re an experienced Turner Setter/Operator looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
