Health and Safety Manager


I am looking to recruit a dynamic Health and Safety Manager to head up one of the South West regions largest projects to date.

This is a client side role based on site with occasional travel to Head Office in Coventry.

You will play a key role in governance regarding the care and protection of employees and contractors. You will be reporting into the Head of Construction and working alongside the Contracts Manager.

Whats required?

  • General NEBOSH Certificate
  • CSR Site Card
  • First Aid Basic Certificate
  • Minimum 5+years' experience within a similar management role with knowledge of the following:
    • Risk Assessments
    • conducting safety inspections
    • emergency preparedness
    • accident investigations
    • safety communication
    • PPE requirements
    • Safety Communication
    • Health & well-being
    • Environmental compliance
  • Strong Communication skills - the ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
  • Knowledge of IOSH Safety standards and regulations relating to the specific trade or activity being managed.
  • Good organisational and record keeping abilities - the ability to maintain accurate records of all safety related activities.
  • Good working knowledge of British Health & Safety legislation and COMAH.
  • Background managing people as the direct reporting manager.
